Vintners Hall, EC4
Spiritual home of the wine trade
|Nearest station:||Blackfriars (Tube / Mainline), Mansion House, Monument (Tube)|
Venue DescriptionHome to the company of Vintners and in its 650th year of being the spiritual home of the UK wine trade, Vintners Hall offers tradition and history in abundance.
The Vintners of London have occupied this hall since the 15th century, making it one of the city's most historic party venues. Although the original hall burned down in the Great Fire of London, it was rebuilt in the 1670s. It suffered only slight damage during World War II, and since then it has been fully restored to make it one of the most popular venues in London for stylish private parties.
There are many options here for holding your Christmas party, including the Court Room. This is one of the oldest buildings in London, and it is a charming historic setting where your guests will find themselves surrounded by fine paintings of royalty. The Livery Hall is the perfect option for banquets. This was the meeting place originally, and it dates back to 1671. Other options include the Boardroom, a fine Edwardian space that is perfect for small meals up to 24, and the Drawing Room.
A splendid Christmas tree greets arrivals before a cocktail reception with sparkling wine and canapés sets the party atmosphere in full swing. Open fires, magical glittering candlelight and traditional festive cuisine complete an atmospheric evening of Christmas delight and wonder.
